• Prices come from the retailer's own product feed, supplied through Awin, for one bulb. Delivery isn't included, and the retailer's page has the final price and VAT: check both before you order. Multi-packs and coloured bulbs aren't listed.
• We work out which old bulb an LED matches from its brightness in lumens, which bulbs must state on their packaging, rather than from a retailer's "equivalent to" wording. There is no official table, so the groups use the figures bulb makers and advice sites use, and a wide check that the lumens are possible for the watts.
• Check the fitting on your old bulb or light: Large screw (E27) is the shape of the base. A bulb that is dimmable only works with a dimmer switch, and the product page says whether it is.
