Draft: this page hasn't been reviewed yet and may change before the site launches.
We want everyone to be able to use this site, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or voice control.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. In practice that means:
- Text and controls have strong colour contrast, and nothing relies on colour alone.
- Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Pages work at 400% zoom and on small screens without scrolling sideways.
- Forms have labels and clear error messages.
- Tables of figures have headings that screen readers can announce.
- Pages work without JavaScript wherever possible.
How we test
Every page is checked with automated accessibility tools (Lighthouse scores each page 100 for accessibility) and with automated browser tests on desktop and mobile sizes. We haven't yet had an independent audit or testing with disabled users.
Known issues
We don't know of any at the moment. If you find one, please tell us.
